There are normally a range of contributing factors as to why eczema has developed in babies:
1) In utero- a mother’s microbiome can significantly influence the microbiome of a newborn baby. Some autoimmune conditions can also be passed on to a baby.
2) Underdeveloped microbiome in a baby due to mother having candida or yeast overgrowth
3) Allergies and food intolerances developed in a baby.
4) Baby not breastfed
5) Vitamin D deficiency in mother and child
6) Antibiotic use early in life or in mother
7) Not enough diverse bacteria exposure in utero or early in a child’s life
8) Deficiency in fat soluble vitamins
9) Side effects of vaccinations
10) Chlorinated water or other toxins
